Happy Dance

I am doing the "Happy Dance" .
I have been sewing for most of my life, actually I started making doll clothes when I was a child. I made clothing all through school and helped my friends make dresses to wear to school dances. I made all my Prom dresses. I've made clothing and quilts for my DD. I've also made quilts and clothing for my DH, DS and other family members. I've always been the one who did the sewing, quilting and sometimes tailoring.

So imagine my surprise when this arrived in the mail yesterday! I couldn't believe someone had actually made a quilt for me! A beautiful quilt, with great color and design. I smiled, I laughed, I cried, NO REALLY CRIED! I was so over whelmed I didn't know what to do. I couldn't write this blog last night because I didn't know where to begin.

This wonderful quilt was given to me by Em at Em Celebrates. Thank you so much Em! You made me so happy. I always thought the only way I would get a quilt would be to make it myself. I'm surprised, happy and grateful. Thank you again! Quilter's really are the best!

Very, very cool! Hmmm, I think I recognize some of those fabrics, which is not surprising given the size of my stash LOL.

Hi Char,
I like your blog, it is coming along nice. How do you get the blogs previews on the right size page to show what is going on? I always miss things because I forget to check someone's blog!!

I think that is so wonderful how you were given quilt made by someone else. I would cherish that for ever. I love hand made gifts so much more than store bought. Those I remember, store bought, I forget, horrible, because it is the thought that counts.

I love your string blocks.

Have a great day!
Renee

I know EXACTLY how you felt - Em sent me a quilt this winter, too, my first ever, and I cried, too! I love quilters.
