Rainbow Challenge Scrap Happy Saturday

It's Red month in the 2011 Rainbow Challenge. I don't know how much I'll have to contribute this month as my red scraps are limited. I thought it was strange that I had so few scraps until I looked in the closet and discovered my red stash is really lacking also. It just goes to show you, you like what you like and I've never been fond of red!

So I put a few strips together with some embroidery and some seed beads and I created a Valentine mini book. I hope you can see the beads. I have trouble taking photos of red items.

I mixed these red prints together with an aqua and red print and some Osnaburg to make a couple of mug rugs for my family room. I like how they look with the organic line stitching.

Guess I'll have to cut up some of the stash next week. This post is linked up with soscrappy so go check out the other posts for this months challenge.

Great job using your red scraps! Beautiful! I don't have much red either.

The whole idea of the rainbow scrap project is to use your scraps - so is that's all you have, you are ahead in the game. I love the little notebook cover and yes I see the beading - love beads added, especially on little items like this. So cute! And the mug rugs are a nice modern tough with the linen and simple line quilting. I think you did a terrific job.

If you don´t have any more red scraps, don´t worry about it. The projects you show are nice, and I don´t think you should cut up your stash just to get some scraps to work with.

It seems that lots of people are lacking in red. Hopefully it will be a nice break after the busy blue month.

Just splendid! I love the mug rug set and the notebook cover is just darling. Good job on finding just enough red to make these cute pieces interesting.
