Purging!

2095SnorkelingSnoopy A while back I wrote a post about purging things we’ve accumulated over the past 12 years in this house. I figured it would make things easier when we downsize in a few years.

Well my job just got a whole lot easier! We woke up yesterday to 5 inches of water in the basement. Sump Pump! Again!

OMG! I'm seeing so many bloggers that have been having water/flooding problems. Wish I lived closer, I'd be glad to come over and start hauling stuff out and scrubbing all that yucky junk off the walls and floors. Good luck and we'll be thinking of you. So sorry....

Oh my... hope you didn't lose anything you really valued. It's one thing to get rid of it by choice, and another when it is taken from you.

I echo BJ's comment. We are on edge too as lots of rain the last couple of days and more for the weekend - not that there is much left here.

No basements here so therefore no danger of flooding. Hope you get it all sorted out. I wouldn't like to have to clean up a mess like that. Hope nothing dear to your heart has been damaged...

Goodness, so much flooding. I hope you are okay even though the flooded basement has provide you the opportunity to purge. Still has to be some kind of mess to clean up....

Oh no...that's horrid! Flood damage is awful to clean up, especially when you lose precious things. Thinking of you! x

Water messes are ugly. Sorry...but your Scuba Snoopy is cute.

Oh dear -- hope the things you didn't want were at the bottom of the piles and your precious things at the top?. Hope the flooding down there didn't hang around too long?
