No sewing going on here this week. My family needs more of my time now. This is what I will work on next. I think.
Happy Quilting!!!!

Happy Quilting!!!!
I just wanted to share my Rainbow Scrap Challenge item for the week.
I hope you all are having a wonderful Easter weekend.
The other day while I was looking for the butterfly blocks I found these blocks that I’d worked on a few summers ago. It has been a while. I started these the summer before my daughter started middle school. She graduates in June. The funny thing is it’s not my oldest UFO!
I think I’ll try to get this one finished this summer.
I’ve been working on finishing up a few things this week. First something purple.
And remember this? I’ve taken out thousands of yards of stitching on this one. I just couldn’t figure out how to quilt it. I think I like what I’m doing now. Doesn’t matter, I won’t be doing anymore frogging on it.
I’ve also been working on my 15 Minutes Mini Swap.
Jonquils and Ladybugs is having a quilt giveaway. Yes a Quilt! Stephanie is giving away a quilt to celebrate 200 sales in her Esty shop. The contest ends on 04/23/11
The Intrepid Thread is having a Sherbet Pips giveaway. She is also giving 20% off in her shop with this code: Market 20. The contest ends on 04/25/11
Today I’m showing the loot! A few weeks ago I won the Monday Mystery on the Ruby Slipperz blog. And this is what Annie sent me
and I also got a gift certificate to Jane’s Fabrics. With that I picked up these lovelies
Over the weekend I got caught up in the Denyse Schmidt frenzy and purchased these
I don’t want you to think all I did was fabric shop this week, I worked on the Sherbet quilt again. It’s almost done. I also rearranged my sewing room again. I needed my cutting table to be a bit higher, it was causing back strain. So now I have a machine at both ends of my desk and I’ve raised the legs on my stand alone Ikea table so it’s the perfect height. No more sore back. So far so good!
I have a few finishes this week. I completed the hand stitching on the scrap challenge from January. It’s hanging in my foyer.
I also completed the Amy Butler Midwest Modern table runner.
I haven’t really done anything with the purple. I started in one direction and didn’t like where it was going. So I’m back at the beginning. Maybe I’ll have something to show next week.
Those big orange gloves were given to me by my wonderful husband. They’re work gloves. Maybe I can use them for machine quilting, but they’re pretty sticky. We’ll see.
And I also filled the taxes! Finally!
Every year I say the same thing. I’m going to do my taxes early and every year I just don’t get them done until the last minute. I actually started them in March. Anyway they will be sent in on Friday. This year I’m using quilting and organizing as my excuse. When the organizing is finished I’ll post pictures but I do have a few quilty pics to show. Here’s a look at some of the quilting on the Sherbet quilt. I’ve done different quilting in the 2 borders.
I only need to put a binding on this D9P table runner. It’s made with a charm pack of Amy Butler’s Midwest Modern 2. This will be in my shop on Friday.
I seem to be stuck on 9 patches lately. I’m just making them and hacking them up. I’ve made a few in purple for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge. Who knows where this creation is headed. I hope to find out by Saturday.
Linda over at Stray Stitches is having a 200th post giveaway. You have a chance to win a $25 gift certificate to The Fat Quarter Shop. You have until Monday April 11th at 8:00 PST to enter.
If you’ve noticed a difference in the look of my posts, it’s because I’m now using Windows Live Writer. About a week or so ago Blogger said I was over my picture limit and would have to pay for more space. I don’t see how that’s possible since my blog is a little over one year old. Thus the change to Windows.
