Small Scraps, Big Projects

Scrap Thingy's I spent some of my evenings this spring making these Hexagons for a soon to be finished pillow.

Scrap Thingy's 286 For my portable summer project I am joining Penny at Sew Take A Hike in a Yo – Yo  Along. I’ve made a few yo-yo projects before and have always enjoyed making them. I hope I can use up lots of scraps and have something to work on while watching TV and lazing around this summer.

Do you have scraps? Maybe you’d like to join.

Today is the first day of summer and  it’s also my brother’s birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY CLINTON!!!!

Thank you for all the congrats on my last post!

Proud Mom of a Graduate!

garden 001 I’m finally over the hump! My daughter graduated on Wednesday! I’m a very very proud Mother. She will attend Arcadia University in the fall! Now I get to rest a little before it’s college prep all the time.

I had a few minutes to do some mindless sewing, so I started this crumb block for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge. I hope to make a few more today.

I also won a charm pack of Freebird  by MoMo for Moda from Happy Quilting.

I’m really happy and just a little bit sad.

Graduation is next week. I’m hoping to get back to all things quilty by the end of June! And so you don’t think I’m completely deprived here are a few pictures of want I am doing.Blog 236 This is a quilt for charity. Since this picture was taken it has been quilted and is waiting for binding.

Blog 238 The string quilt will be quilted today and after binding will go to charity.

Blog 241 And here swinging in the wind is the Sherbet quilt. It needs quilting in 3 of the borders and binding. This one doesn’t have a home yet.

I’ll be back later to share pictures of my giveaway winnings!
