Scrap Happy Saturday

It’s Saturday again and the color for February is green. So I made two sixteen patch green blocks to add to last month’s red blocks. It seems that I have lots of yellowy green as you can see in the picture. Maybe it’s because I have a thing for lime green!

I also cut up a strip set and made this little mug rug. I made it without binding, I just did the pillow case method. You know sew the 3 pieces together and turn it inside out, I must say I do prefer the finished look of the binding.

Since we’re having not so pleasant weather today I will spend most of my time in the sewing room. Will you be sewing today?

The giveaway ends today at 12 midnight EST.

Good luck!!

What a super cute mug rug, even if you like binding better. :)

Very cute mug rug indeed! Next to blue, green is a must play with colour.

Cute mug rug.

Must admit I have seam envy. My little squares were a challenge to line up, but since it's my first time I figured I'll learn. I did figure out I got closer if I finger-pressed the seams and not iron them until they were all together.

Anyway, great job.

Very cute mug rug :) This is my favourite colour of green too and the little owl strip adds a lot to it too. I like your 16 patches also... You're going to have a wonderful quilt the end of the year :)
