Had an idea last night as I was lying in bed. Does that ever happen to you? To be honest I was having a little trouble going to sleep. Any way the idea was to turn this
into this
Just a little Osnaburg and ta da! A mini quilt waiting for a bit of hand stitching with perle cotton.
Tomorrow DD goes back to school. Today we’ll be shopping and packing up the car for the trip. What will you spend your weekend doing?
I’ve liked up with The Rainbow Challenge today.
Don’t forget the giveaway!
Yesterday I showed you the odd shaped closet. Today you get to see what is inside.

And yes all of those baskets and boxes contain fabric!
So it appears I have a small fabric uh overflow! But it’s a good thing for you because I will start purging it today! The giveaway
The first stack is from Connecting Threads 3 green fat quarters and 2 fat eighths. They are more green than they appear in the picture.
Next is a stack from Keepsake Quilting. Four fat quarters that were part of a surprise pack.
So if you’re interested, leave a comment on this post telling me if you will be happy to see the end of summer. I’ll leave this giveaway open until Friday Aug. 31, 2012.
Today what’s working is me trying to find a way to rearrange my closet uh sewing room so I’ll have more room to quilt larger quilts. It’s really a case of trying to put 10lbs. of you know what into a 5lb. bag!

I hope you enjoyed the tour. Any ideas, besides blowing it up and starting over? Looks pretty hopeless to me. Think I’ll just close the door and comeback tomorrow!
I’ve got lots to do today! Along with a few crochet projects, I’m working on finally putting this
on these.
I also have to turn this stack into baby bibs and burp cloths and put them in the mail.
I’m linking up with Quiltsy and WIP Wednesday today. Go take a look at what others are working on!
My scrappy blocks from last Saturday are percolating. I haven’t decided if they will become pillows or a table runner. I’ve started a new group of stripy blocks. Here’s the first one.
I spent most of yesterday working on a new quilt I’ve named “A Charm Pack and a Bunch of Scraps”! It’s not quite finished yet. I used the Birchtree Lane fabric line from Connecting Threads and a few solids, also from CT.
Also yesterday I did a little reorganizing because the polka dot fabric has gotten a little out of hand. I found I few things (fabrics and unfinished projects) I will giveaway in the near future. Stay tuned.
I’d like to thank you all for your kind comments concerning my Echo. It was a relief to know everything was alright.
I’m linking up with the Rainbow Scrap Challenge, checkout what everyone is doing.
Go enjoy your weekend!
This is what I spent last Wednesday doing!
My doctor thought it was a good idea as my younger sister and younger brother have both had heart issues.
I aced it! The Cardiologist said my heart was beautiful! No blockages!
Today I will continue working with my Aqua scraps. I’m hoping to make some new pillows for the family room. I have been wanting to introduce a bit of Teal into that room as well as my breakfast room and kitchen.

I’m way behind on the Rainbow Scrap Challenge! This month’s color is Aqua. I love Aqua! So I dug into the scrap container and started piecing random strips. Don’t know where this is going but I’m having fun just winging it!
Check out what everyone is working on here.
Thank you all for your comments on hand quilting and the threads you use. Looks like a few of you have hand quilting on your someday list. I say go for it! There’s something so satisfying about hand work. You’ll love it!
Ok this is what you came here for, the winner of the Zoe charm pack is #24 Carla G. Congratulations Carla!
Enjoy your weekend!
