Spring?

Meteorologist consider March 1st the beginning of the Spring season. If you live in the Northeast and you’ve been looking at ugly gray/brown gardens and cloudy skies, I know you’re happy to hear that. I for one can not wait for the flowers to start popping up.

So last night I brought Spring to the sewing room. I pulled out some floral prints and coordinating pieces in lavender, aqua, fuchsia and green and my GO! baby started working on these Whirligig blocks.

They are very easy to make, if you want to try them I used this tutorial.

Are you working on a colorful Spring quilt? I’d like to see it. Share your quilt with us.

I love your little spring quilt! Can't wait to see it all put together!

I'm not working on anything 'springlike' so nothing to link. :-(

Autumn is just starting for us and we hope it will bring some rain with it. Your fabrics and whirlygig blocks are lovely; nice when a quilt comes together quickly!

I love your whirlygig blocks, very pretty! I am working on the same thing with some pieces I cut out several yrs ago. I still have a few more blocks to make, but I have the finished ones laid out on the dining table and it's looking good.
