Last Day of August!

I’m so ready for the change of seasons! I’m hoping it ushers in a change in lots of other areas. I’m determined to PURGE and organize every single room in this house! We don’t plan to stay in this big house that much longer, so if I don’t start soon it won’t be manageable. I’m also determined to get my butt in gear and start walking again, regularly! Additionally I’d like to be able to put items in my Etsy shop on a more regular basis. So come on Autumn, I’m looking for a change!

A few weeks ago I showed some of the large pile of Leaders and Enders that had been cluttering my sewing table. Well yesterday I had an urge to play with scraps.

Today I’m hoping to frame this in some way. Maybe on point or just 4 border strips. We’ll see. I just love scraps, all this color makes me very happy!

I decided to work on a very easy scarf in the evenings and while I watch baseball on TV. The name of this pattern is Mindless One Skein Scarf! Couldn’t be more perfect. I got this beautiful yarn from someone’s destash.

I’m wishing you all a very happy Labor Day!

I heart Autumn. Football, pretty leaves, crisp air, cinnamon and spices...We're doing the same -- less than 4 years left not only in this house but in this state. I'm sorting room by room.

I love the simplicity of your scrappy squares. Unfussy and pleasing.

I'm thinking the same as you, get out and walk, come home energized and start cleaning out the excess in the house. Cooler weather in Autumn is the perfect time to start.
