This is all I've been doing since October. My last craft show is On Saturday!
On my last trip to the Sauder store I bought a bolt of text print fabric. I’ve had lots of ideas running through my head on how to use text prints. Since it’s craft show season it’s been hard to find time to experiment with it. Last week I stole a few minutes and made these.
This mug rug was made with text print and solid scraps from the Confetti quilt.
And this is a table runner made with my stack of 2.5 squares that are used as leaders and enders.
I think I’m going to enjoy working with this print. I may even have a New York Beauty in my future

Wow, I didn't realize it had been so long since I'd done a post!
Now that DD is back at school, I have gotten back to my routine. I love the weather we're having, nice sunny days and cool crisp nights. I like Fall colors although they aren't my favorite. I've been working with lots of orange, brown and rust lately. Not to mention purple, black, gray and green for Halloween.
I've finished a table runner, a few mug rugs, a tote and a cosmetic bag.
This week I'm going to work with some other colors before I start making table runners for Thanksgiving. After all a little orange goes a long way.
Pulled some Kaffe today
Cut a few strips, stitched them up
And ta da a new table runner!
I've got so much going on right now it seems everything is half done. DD goes back to school in 11 days. I hope to get back to my routine soon. In the meantime I had to do some mindless sewing today with one of my favorite colors!
I know you’ve seen these pieces from time to time on my blog. They are 2 1/2” square leaders and enders that I’ve pieced over about a year or so.
When I pieced the first one I had no idea where this was headed but an idea soon popped into my head. I spent part of yesterday putting the body together and now I just need to add borders.
I’m pretty pleased with how it looks so far. I really love scraps!
This is Mushroom the cat and his toy monkey Taffy. Made by my DD. He sleeps in an old mint tin and has taken up residence in my sewing room. Isn’t he the cutest?
Wow it’s the almost the end of July! I guess that means the summer is about half over. Besides lots of fabric shopping I can’t say I’ve finished much.
I finally found fabric and put a border on this
I also found a border for this quilt
and I finally ordered fabric to replace the ugly red curtain that has been over my kitchen sink. It was supposed to be temporary when we painted the kitchen about 3 years ago!
See I told you, lots of retail therapy!
I’m linking up with Quiltsy today.
