What’s Working on Wednesday and a Giveaway

Happy New Year!!!!!!

I had a great holiday and I hope you did too! I have lots of things I’d like to do this year. How about you? I hope to keep up with the Rainbow Scrap Challenge this year.(didn’t do so well last year) And I also hope this will be a year filled with many string projects. I made a few quilts and crocheted items for donation last year I’d like to do the same this year.

So let’s get started. January is my birthday month and I thought it would be a good idea to have a giveaway every week. So starting today and ending next Tuesday Jan. 07,2014 you have a chance to win this set of Tonga Treats.

               tonga

Interested? All you have to do is tell me what you plan to create this year. Is it a Farmer’s Wife quilt or trying FMQ? Whatever it is let me know.

On Wednesday January 08,2013 I’ll post a new giveaway!

I’ve linked up with WIPs on Wednesday on the Quiltsy blog. Come over and see what other’s are working on in the new year!

Happy new year. This month I plan on making a quilt for the Salvation Army Christmas angel. I know it's early but if I do not start now I get very distracted.

The first thing on my list is to finish monthly tablerunners that were gifts for this past Christmas. I am making two sets and just got through May finished. The girls will get the rest of their gift as the year progresses. 10 down, 14 to go! I also want to finish two quilts for my kids before next Christmas.

I've never made a quilt but it's something I would very much like to do. Hopefully I will make one big enough for a lap quilt.

I am creating some prayer flags and celebration buntings this winter and I am finding it a really great project to use a variety of surface design techniques.

Happy Birthday Month Char! I think this year I want to reach out to some the very talented quilters/crafters/dollmakers and other artisans in this area. On the sewing front, I plan to finish the Civil War Melodies quilt that I started last year!

Happy new year and happy birthday! I love the browns and blues in the Tonga pack. I'm planning a wall quilt with blue herons in it and I would use the browns as part of the swamp grasses and the blues as part of the herons. Thank you for giving gifts on your birthday - I hope you receive some too! And thank you for your inspiring blog. I absolutely love your color sense.

This year I want to make a quilt with all solids. I'm sort of allergic to solids so this is a big deal. I've got my fabric and my pattern but I keep finding other little projects to put off starting. I am thinking next weekend will be the perfect jumping off point. Happy Birthday
