What’s Working on Wednesday a Winner and a Giveaway

This week finds me working on all kinds of things. I finished a shawlette/scarf I started (I’m ashamed to say) last February. Actually that’s not true, I finished 2 shawls, both from last February!

            straw. ice cream

I also started this Valentine mug rug. Since my backing fabric has not arrived I haven’t quilted my Confetti quilt! Fingers crossed it arrives today.

Week 3 of my birthday month giveaway has arrived. This week I’m giving away this Riley Blake Twice as Nice charm pack. To be entered in this weeks giveaway just tell me if you find yourself buying precuts because they’re convenient or do you prefer to buy yardage? This giveaway ends on Tuesday January 21, 2014 and the winner will be announced on Wednesday January 22, 2014.

Last week’s winner is Dee! Congratulations!

I’m linking up with WIPs on Wednesday and WIP Wednesday.

Your shawls are lovely! I usually only buy yardage. I rarely know what I am making and I like to buy only fabric I like so precursor just don't work well for me.

I just love your shawls. I like to buy yardage (end of the bolt sales are great), but occassonally like a JR or FQ bundle depending if a line tickles me.

Your shawls are very pretty. I buy a combo of precuts and yardage. Pre-cuts are great to have a piece of every line in a collection and then I usually go and buy yardage of my favorites.

Your shawls are beautiful. It must feel wonderful to wear them! I usually buy yardage because it is more economical, but I do love precuts because of all the variety that comes in one set. It's like a box of yummy candy! Thanks for sharing, and I hope you are still having a wonderful birthday month.

I buy precursor because you can play with so many different fabrics that way. I will buy yardage of my very favorites!

Due to the cost, I have to admit that I have never bought pre-cuts! I would so love for the convenience but my pocket book can't take it.
This would be an awesome win.
Happy Birthday :)

I buy both precuts and yardage... it all depends on what project I am planning, what catches my eye, and what is on sale!! Thanks for your generosity and a fun way to celebrate your birthday!!

I must say that I love working with pre-cuts, but I try not to buy them unless I have a definite plan for using them!

I buy both. I buy charm packs when I see a fabric line I want to play with. Otherwise, I usually buy yardage.

Your shawls are beautiful. A cute mug rug too. I prefer yardage, because I do not like that pinking thing or what it is called on precuts... :)

Great WIPs, Char ... I love the shawlette, particularly.
I have actually never used pre-cuts, although they do appeal to me because they are ready-to-go :)

I usually buy yardage, but I really like scraps and precuts are sort of like that and fun to use. Thanks for the chance.
