Scrap Happy Saturday on Sunday

I’m a day late with my scrap items this week because I spent most of yesterday at IKEA. I needed another lamp. You know a little concentrated light for my Nina. I already use one with my Juki. The 59 year old eyes really appreciate it.

This month’s color is pink. I happen to like pink, which is funny because I never liked it when I was younger. The majority of my stash is pink, with lime green coming in a close second. Besides, remember I won that giveaway a bit ago, a box full of pink scraps.

First I made these randomly pieced blocks.

Then I made another one of these.

So now there are two. I’m thinking I will make 2 in each color and that should make a nice sized quilt at the end of the year.

Such nice bright pinks in the first blocks and subtler pinks in the strings. Lovely.

Pretty in pink! I love IKEA and am happy to have one close enough (2 hours) but far enough way to keep it from being a weekly visit. :o)

Which light/lamp did you purchase from IKEA?

I love these squares and your color choices are delightful. I've been going through some of your posts and I am excited about following your creative journey and I hope that you will visit and want to be mutual followers. I am a late bloomer when it comes to quilting and have been doing most by hand quilting, but my last quilt is a Quilt As You Go. I saw it on You Tube and had to have a go at it.
Now, I'm going to look at more of your past posts.
Have a lovely day and I hope to hear from you. I've met the nicest people through blogging.
Your new blogging sister, Connie :)
