Scrap Happy Saturday

I know I’ve started these posts basically the same for weeks now but as we had yet another snow storm I had time to sew between shoveling. I guess I shouldn’t even mention it’s snowing again now!

Had the idea for these blocks while lying in bed last night. So the first sewing I did this morning was to make the block I imagined. I don’t know where this is headed but I like the start.

The first two scrap blocks I made have been paired with 2 more and I guess you can call them a table topper or a wall hanging. I’d like to get this one quilted today.

I’ve also had time in the evenings to work on another shawl. This one is different for me because I’m using 3 different yarns. I’m hoping for a spectacular finish.

Thanks for the suggestions for binding on my scrap table topper. I’m leaning towards the small chartreuse and white string dot.

I’m linking up with RSC 2014. Go see what the others are doing.

It's been snowing here most of the day today, but we're not tired of it yet as it has arrived here so late in the year.
Love the new blocks!
The shawl is looking wonderful too. You are so talented.

I love your four pink scrap blocks and the way you have joined them together with the white strips in between.

Dear Char,
I received the pattern and was so happy, but imagine my surprise and gratitude when I opened my shawl! Char, your sweet gift could not have come at a better moment! Your thoughtfulness and selflessness made me cry and say a "thank You" because it had been a very rough week. The idea that someone so far away, someone I have never met in person, whom I had admired...would spend so much thought and care on me was amazing! Thank you, dear soul! You were, and always will be, an inspiration and encouragement to me! I'm so humbled by your gift. 💌

Love your scrappy blocks! Me too, often get an idea for a block, make a few blocks and then decide what to make out of them. The shawl is beautiful!
