What’s Working on Wednesday

I’ve started a new quilt because Spring just isn’t coming fast enough for me. It rained here this weekend, it’s raining today and rain is expected for the next two days. So I really needed to see some flowers. (I know April showers bring May flowers)

I chose a charm pack to make a quick patchwork quilt. It’s Gypsy Girl by Lily Ashbury for Moda. Lots of flowers and fun prints in this one.

        ggf

I used every 5 inch square in this pack which is unusual because in most charm packs there’s at least one print I’m not fond of. Most likely I’ll pair this with a bit of polka dot and my usual Moda muslin.

I chose to go with the Orchid, Chartreuse and Navy blocks for last weeks donation quilt. This picture is a little washed out the colors are a bit brighter in person. Please excuse the gigantic cat head in the bottom right corner! LOL

I will piece this one today and find a backing so I can have it quilted by next week, maybe (still have to do my taxes).

I’m linking up with Quiltsy and WIP Wednesday today.

Perhaps your flower quilt will help Mother Nature along? It's very pretty and happy. I love the orchid, chartreuse and navy color combo. We were 76* and gorgeous yesterday and rain and cold today.
