Too Busy To Blog

I know I said I was going to do better this year but the month of February has been so busy it's been hard to find time to blog.
First like many people I'm getting some cleanup, fix up, paint up ideas together. Dining, laundry and kitchen are on the list and these will be mostly cosmetic changes. Paint for the laundry room, new lighting for the kitchen and new lighting and storage for the dining room. When my daughter was young our family computer was placed in a corner in the dining room so we could keep an eye on what she was doing. Well she is 26 years old now and it's time for new storage for glasses, stemware and dishes.
In other news I joined a swap on IG it was a small swap just 6 of us called A Handmade Home. This is what my partner made for me.

Pot holders, including one skillet handle holder.

This is what I made for my partner who said her room was gray, white, blue/aqua

A batik table runner and bowl. I also made a little bag for her young daughter.

Of course I've made a few more bowls,

And I've also made my second favorite thing bags

The first one is a crochet/knitting project bag made with pink and white poppy fabric.

The second on is made with a cat print quilting fabric and gray Essex linen.

And the last is my favorite because I love denim anything! Orange floral print and denim drawstring crochet/knitting project bag.
Today I'm hoping to work with my yellow scraps as tomorrow is March 1st and a new color will be chosen for The Rainbow Scrap Challenge. Judging by the weather forecast I'll have time to finish up with my yellow scraps tomorrow as well, snow is on the way again!! ⛄⛄⛄

Scrap Happy

I was supposed to do this post on Saturday, but I just didn't ave time to get to it! The weather has been icky but it's perfect for quilting, sewing, crocheting, knitting and all the other crafts, like cooking.

The February Rainbow Scrap Challenge color is Yellow! Ha, I don't have a lot.

I made 3 crumb blocks. Next I think I'll make a few 9 patch blocks and maybe 4 improv log cabin blocks like the red ones from January.

I really appreciate all the support for my rope bowls! I can't tell you how much I love making them! Here are a few new ones

In the evenings I'm still doing a bit of crochet.

I can't tell you how many times I have started a pair of crochet socks and gave up, maybe 8 or 9 times or more. This is the best pattern I found so far. It seems that most crochet sock patterns are made like slippers. I want to wear mine inside my shoes, so lumpy, bumpy socks aren't going to work for me. Not so crazy about the yarn, it's got lots of neon going on. I guess it's better for a socks than a shawl. 😆

I'm linking up with RSC 19. Go see what cool items everyone else is making with yellow scraps.

Busy, Busy, Busy

I've been so busy lately sewing, quilting and crocheting. I've worked on bowls, trivets and coasters and I'm in the process of testing a crochet hat pattern for a Ravelry designer.

Here are some of my finishes

This bowl has been purchased thanks to Wanda at Exuberant Color who purchased a project bag and a bowl from me and did a wonderful blog post about her purchases. After her post I had lots of bowl sales! Thank you so much Wanda!!

Here is a bowl/basket in progress. I'm not really sure where this is headed so stay tuned.

My evening project is this shawl. I'm using a yarn with the most lovely colors.

My friend loved her surprise mini and trivets. She hadn't read my blog so the surprise wasn't spoiled. 😃
