It's a warm misty day here in beautiful Hatfield Pa. Lots of Christmas decorating going on at our house. I decided to get an artificial tree this year knowing that trees would be scarce and expensive. I'm not really a fan but last years tree cost $75 plus tax and I couldn't imagine paying more than that.

My new artificial tree is 7 1/2' tall and doesn't have those removeable branches like the old ones. It also claims to look more like a real tree than your standard faux tree. We'll see, I plan to decorate it today.

I'm finished sewing for the shop for this year. I had a custom order for my SIL for 2 17"x 90" quilted table runners. The first one was for Thanksgiving which went fairly easily. The second was a Christmas runner, it was a bear. I got tucks on the back which saw me frogging an hour and a half of my day away! I finally finished the binding at 9:15pm and shipped it off in the morning, ugh! 😫

I've made a few Christmas bowls and trivets.

Hope to have time to post some of the Christmas decorations this week.

Enjoy your weekend!

Hope you all had a great Halloween! Looks like there was lots of fun in my neighborhood!

I can’t believe that it’s November. This year went awfully fast! As I’m looking to gear up for holiday sewing, here’s a look at what I completed in October.

Lots of items for the shop and of course some evening crochet. The crochet project was a pattern test for a crochet and knitting designer. It’s a shawl which is made with lightweight cotton fingering so it’s more like a scarf. I love the end result.

Along with my holiday sewing I’m hoping to finish a few WIPs. Quilting and crochet WIPs are piling up! 😆

Have a great week and create something you love!

It’s been a very long time. I kept telling myself you need to get back to your blog. Of course every day I went down the rabbit hole following other things. I’m really hoping to do better. I’ve never liked Facebook which I only have because of my Etsy shop and I really don’t like all the changes on Instagram. I have always been the “sit quietly and enjoy the pictures” type. All of the in you face, jumping around and music postings on Instagram have really turned me off. Eh, probably just too old to find that stuff interesting.

I’ve been doing lots of reading and watching shows on PBS. On the sewing front, I’m still completely hooked on coiled rope. I’ve made giant trivets.

I’ve made lots of multicolored items.
Many, many, many bowls/baskets.
I’ve also actually done a bit of quilting recently.
It’s a typical Autumn day in beautiful Hatfield Pa. I plan to make cookies, watch football and crochet.
I hope you enjoy your day!
