New Year's Eve

It's the end of another year and I will do what I'm always doing on New Year's Eve, sitting home with my DH watching the ball drop in Times Square. We always have a nice quite celebration.

As for New Year's Eve day, I will be starting a new project. I am making an Afghan for myself (for a change) out of these colorful yarns. When I purchased them I didn't have a pattern in mind. Yesterday one just appeared in my inbox. It's a Lion Brand pattern that's perfect for these colors. I will post my progress.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!

After The Holiday

This is what my sewingroom looks like after using it as a wrapping station. It's a bit messy, but I'll have it back in tip- top shape soon. I have lots of projects scheduled. LOL I had lots planned last year also, didn't go so well. This year will be different. After all, I'm going to have people watching me, I'll have to do better!

I will start by finishing up a few UFO'S. After that I have a few string quilts planned. Maybe this year I will finally make a quilt that is all applique.

First Blog

Hello, I guess a better name for this blog would be, Scraps Stitched! As you can see by this picture. I use scraps all the time. In the totes, quilts, tablerunners and other things I create in my sewing room. The more fabrics, the better. Why use 6 pieces of fabric when you can use pieces of 26 fabrics?

Here are a few scrap creations
