Birthday Giveaway and More

Yes today is my birthday! I’m long past the age where I like to celebrate so I’m having this giveaway so you can celebrate!

This is the newest line by Denyse Schmidt, Aunt Edna available at Joann. I really love the yellow-gold and gray. Those of you who are interested in purchasing this fabric be warned it’s $12.99 a yard! I used a coupon to purchase it and that only helped a little. I chose 4 FQs of the Far Meadow colorway.

                             The Loot! 107

December 30th was the 2 year anniversary of my blog! Since I was still a bit disorganized by the Christmas season I forgot all about it. So I am having a second giveaway of Picnic Parade FQs from my stash.

                             The Loot! 109

To enter both giveaways all you need do is answer this question What colors are you looking forward to using in a quilt this year? For me it’s yellow and gray.

I will leave this giveaway open until February 11th and announce the winners on February 12th. The first name pulled will get Aunt Edna, the second Picnic Parade.

Happy Birthday!

I'm always looking forward to doing a quilt in aqua. I have a bird pattern I bought it for, but still haven't started it.

Happy Birthday! I tend to use a lot of muted colors in my quilts but this year I am going to make a quilt with lots of color and a white foundation. I am super excited about it! I had an Aunt Edna - and that fabric LOOKS like her!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!
I'm cutting 6" squares of assorted kids fabrics that will most likely turn into an eye spy type quilt for Miss Bailey. Colors? You name it and they'll be in the quilt.

Happy Birthday Char. I hope you have something wonderful planned for yourself (and don’t forget to pig out on cake – it’s a birthday rite of passage )

Im going to be rocking the greys at some point this year . I have no idea what I’m going to pair it with yet but little visions of stars keep bouncing round in my head so we’ll see what happens.

Hey Char...Happy, Happy Birthday and happy Bloggaversary! I just saw the gray and yellow at Joann's yesterday...fell in love. It's a beautiful colorway.

I'm looking forward to using more gray in my quilts this year. And making my own fabric designs...which has me looking at color in a whole new way.

Enjoy your happy days!

'Happy birthday to you!!!! Happy birthday to you!!! Happy birthday dear Char!!! Happy birthday to you!!!' (In my best singing voice of course!) Hope you have had a truly blessed day. Now, I have yet to attempt quilting, and my favourite colour is red. I would love to try a smaller project to hang on the wall in red, and perhaps aqua, as this is the combination I am mostly drawn to at the moment. I would love to enter your giveaway!

I'm working on a lime green and gray, but I love the yellow gray combination. I picked up some to that DS at our Joanns too. I got the gray dots and the floral one. Doesn't it feel fabulous?

I don't use a lot of green, but I've been seeing more and more of it, particularly lime-ish green paired with black and white. I think I'd like to give that a try this year. Thanks for the chance to win!! And happy belated birthday!

Happy Birthday Char!
I just saw the Aunt Edna fabric at Joann today. I like the tiny houndstooth print, but also wish they made a black and white that size. I want to make a quilt with black, white and just a little splash of lime green. But first I need to make the blue and brown kit I got for hubby. The throw that I made him several years ago is about worn out.

Happy happy Birthday! How sweet of you to give a give away on your birthday. We should all be giving to you. :0)

For some reason I'm into red and light aqua together. I've ALWAYS loved red - anything red. I LOVE RED. But I've recently fallen in love with the red/aqua combo, so I do plan to make a quilt with those colors.

Thank you for the chance! :0)

Black and white with splashes of color. I made a purple, black and white wonky log cabin last year and liked it way more than I expected. I'd like to make more. Happy Birthday, even if you aren't celebrating. Hey, each year is an achievement! Thanks for the giveaway.
