Back to your Regular Program

It’s been a while since I wrote a post. I’m still trying to recuperate from my road trip to Florida! We had a wonderful time visiting my little brother, all my siblings were there.

Today I’m itching to get back into my sewing room. It’s a perfect day to stay in and sew as it’s snowing here today. How about you, are you having fabric withdrawal? Or did you get to do a bit of sewing over the holiday?

What’s Working on Wednesday

I’m finishing up this quilt for those affected by hurricane Sandy. I just want to say I applaud all of you who quilt large quilts on your domestic machines. It’s not easy, you Rock!

Tuesday’s Treasures and a Winner

I caught a few of the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales. Did you? I’ve decided to get what I can now, I plan to put myself on a fabric diet at the beginning of the year.

I guess you knew there would be some polka dots!

Well the question for the giveaway was What color have you used most often in your quilts this year? My answer is yellow. I have used yellow in almost all of my quilts this year. Looks like I will end the year with yellow also.

I know you all just want to know who the winner is, right? The winner of Neutral Territory is hueisei! Thank you all for entering.

Are there any BOM’s, Challenges or Quilt a Longs you’ll be joining in the new year? Leave a comment and let me know what you’ll be doing in 2013. I’m linking up with Linky Tuesday.

Before and After

While preparing for Sandy I asked my DH to move my little white chair into the garage. His response was it should be alright because the tree is there to protect it from the wind.

                  QUILTS! 002

You can see the base of the tree in the lower right corner. That bare patch in the left corner is the mulch surrounding my Hydrangea.

                   photo (13)

Here’s what it looks like now as the tree service prepares it for removal along with the other 5! That clump to the left of the base is what’s left of the Hydrangeas.

I’d say it’s a good thing I insisted he removed the chair!

Don’t forget you have until midnight to enter the giveaway!
