Spring has Sprung!

I think most of us near the east coast thought Spring would never arrive. Well it's here and I have blooms to prove it.

I've also put handles on the rope bag. I like the bamboo handles on this bag so much more that the plastic handles I'd chosen in the beginning. This bag is in my sewing room now filled with new fabric. Sooner or later she'll be out in the wild on a shopping adventure.

I've made a few new project bags for my Etsy shop.

And I've been busy crocheting in the evenings. I finished this birthday gift. It's a wrap made with Scheepjes Whirl.

I am donating a quilt again this year to Hands2Help. This year my quilt is going to Little Lambs
Foundation for Kids. I'm hoping some little one enjoys the bright colors in this quilt!

Scraps Again!

I decided at the beginning of the year that I would try to use as many scraps as possible this year. This really isn't difficult because I have tons of scraps! Scraps in all shapes and sizes. This weekend I took a pile of batik scraps and started working on a coiled rope tote bag.

It took days to get this finished, but I'm very happy with it and now I'm trying to decide on handles. I am going to use purchased handles on this bag. As you can see there are quite a few batik scraps left.
I think I will make more totes but they will be much smaller (try lunch tote size) and I'll probably finish them with rope handles.

Have a wonderful week!
