Autumn is Coming but not Fast Enough

I am the person who does not like summer! I really can't wait for these last few weeks to be done. So I thought I'd help it along with a little Halloween stitching this week.

I don't usually work with solids, but I have lots of squares left from this quilt.

So I thought maybe I'd make a few mug rugs. Well mug rugs became something else....

I think I like it and more might be in the works.

What I Did on my Summer Vacation

Last week DH, DD and I visited Chincoteague and Assateague Islands.

Little Things

I've been making lots of small items lately. Cosmetic bags, crochet and knitting project bags. This all got started with one big order of bags for my niece's bridesmaids. She got married on July 11th and the bags were a hit!

Here are a few that made it to my Etsy shop.

I'm enjoying making these right now and yesterday I received some Kraft -Tex paper fabric in the mail. Can't wait to try it along with fabric in the next bag.

Hello! Remember Me?

I won't even try to explain why I haven't been blogging. I'll just say it's been so much easier to keep up with everyone on other social media outlets. Mostly my time has been occupied by Instagram.
It's very easy to use and for people like me who really don't write well, it's perfect! Mostly pictures and very few words. Although I guess there is no reason why I can't write blog posts with fewer words. So let's call this the beginning of blogging with fewer words and see how it goes.
