Here are 2 pictures of the quilt I am working on for my "Scrap Bags" Log Cabin challenge. Originally the black squares were going to be violet and the logs were going to be blues and pinks. Then I remembered, when I issued the challenge it was to have 4 or more colors.
So now I have a truly scrappy Log Cabin.
Ok, so the problem is I don't know what to use for the side and corner triangles. I'm thinking a black and white print I haven't used in the body so far. I don't think I want to use solid black. What would you do? Please help! Leave a comment! My deadline is April 30th.

My vote is for something bright...like hot pink! Or lime green. Both of those colors look fabulous when combined with black and white. IMHO anyway :-).
I like the idea of the black & white, but would look for one that is mostly black. If you could find it with swirly white lines I think that would be great. I always try to "audition" different fabrics to discover which one is the right one for my project. I love your blocks - what a fun challenge.
I agree with BJ about her suggestion, but lime green sure is tempting!
This is a beautiful quilt!
I agree with BJ, I like the idea of a mostly black print for the triangles. It would tie in with the b&w squares already in the blocks. Lime green would be great for an accent color!
If you want to keep the scrappy look I see what using a different scrap piece of fabric for each triangle would look like. You already have a ton of different colors anyhow, so keep that them going! Then you could do a small border in the black print to tie it all together if you wanted. But the idea of the black, with a little white in the print, triangles sounds good also.
