Well let’s see, I did get my cutting table cleared off.
BEFORE
AFTER
It doesn’t quite look like that now. LOL If it was still neat that would mean I haven’t been using it right?
I pulled this scrap string thingy out and added the lime border because I now have a plan for it. Next up will be a larger scrap border.
I’ve finally taken the time to learn the Tunisian crochet stitch. Don’t know why I avoided it for so long. It really wasn’t difficult at all. Here’s my first swatch.
Not bad for my first try. Now I need to go buy a Tunisian hook so my stitches don’t fall off!
I gotten a few goodies in the mail lately. First up these charm packs. The 2 1/2 inch squares will be used to make table runners.
I also got some yummy new yarn!
And finally I got something that I’ve been wanting for what seems like forever. I know they’ve been around for a while but I just couldn’t find the right one, until now.
It’s a felted wool pincushion! This picture isn’t the greatest. It doesn’t show the beautiful blue color in the center. I’m very happy I found this one!
I’m linking up with The Quiltsy blog this week. Come on over, you can link up too!

I cleaned my area twice already - now to pull the next 'pile' to make a mess.
Ah! I laughed so hard at the first picture - looks just like my sewing area! How am I supposed to work when I make such a mess? ;)
Always a relief to see others spaces look like mine does all too often. It feels so good to get it cleaned up - to have a "fresh start" for the next project.
So much eye candy posted too. How wonderful!
I think most cutting tables look like your 'before' photo:-) I know mine does right now! I have a system.... I have a large basket that I fill with 'stuff' that should not be on the table.... when that basket is full I take it around my sewing room and put away all of the things in the basket. and on it goes! fill the basket, put away the stuff. In the end I have an empty table to fill right back up again! I love your pin cushion. It would be really good for your needles and pins too as it's wool.
Love the yarn, but I really adore the extra strip you are placing on the scrappy blocks. I have had this on my list 'to-do' and will had your 'look' to my list.
The yarn is just beautiful. Can't wait to see what you do with it!
My table is never clean!
love those pincusions, I have 2!! one for the sewing/cutting table, one for the ironing board!
